Can I use these for a straight-razor shave?

Use an examination glove for that. This box is labelled non-medical by the manufacturer, so we sell it as a general-purpose glove for colour, chemical and cleaning work. For shaves or any bloodborne-pathogen exposure, our Ambitex N400 is an FDA-cleared exam glove.

What does "non-medical" actually mean?

It means the manufacturer has not put this glove through FDA examination-glove clearance, and has said so on the box. It is a perfectly good nitrile glove for the work described above. It is simply not a medical device and we will not describe it as one.

How thick are they?

Xingyu does not publish a mil thickness for this box — their disposable line is specified by glove weight, not thickness — so we are not printing a number. If thickness matters for your use, ask and we will measure a glove.

Are they safe for food contact?
