Zero-overlap means the taper lever closes the blades tight enough for on-scalp work, so bald tapers, blends and clipper-over-comb all happen on one tool. It is the corded original in the Magic Clip line, made in the USA.

The 8451 is the corded Magic Clip. The cordless versions carry different model numbers and run on lithium-ion batteries.

What does zero-overlap actually mean?

Closed down, the cutting blade and the still blade sit level rather than overlapping, so the clipper can take hair down close on the scalp for bald tapers.

What blade does it take?

It uses the 2-hole adjustable blade format shared with the 5 Star Senior and Sterling Reflections Senior, which is why the #2191 Precision Fade blade is the common replacement.
