It is made for the TPOB PLAY trimmer series. It is not a universal T-blade and should not be forced onto other housings.

Do I need to zero-gap it out of the box?

It arrives set to Morono's standard. Check the setting once it is mounted and adjust to your own preference from there.

Deep tooth or fine tooth for lineups?

Deep tooth moves more hair per pass and gives that aggressive sound and feel. Fine tooth sits closer for softer, quieter detail work. Many barbers keep one of each.
