Yes — this clip is made for the Ergo and Evo platform. Other Gamma models may use a different adapter.

Will it change how the tool balances?

Slightly, at the base. The clip is contoured to the body specifically to minimize that, and most barbers adjust within a shift.

Can I mix brands on one mat?

That is the main reason barbers buy clips. A Gamma trimmer, a Wahl clipper and an Andis outliner can all charge on the same mat with their own adapters.
