Is the Sand colorway any different mechanically?

No. Sand, Green and the other DarkStar 82 trimmer finishes share the same vector motor, metal body, runtime and accessory kit.

What is the replacement blade?

TB550. The DarkStar 82 clipper takes the CBH21, a different part, so confirm which tool you are ordering for.

How close does it cut with the guards off?

Supreme Trimmer does not publish a bare-blade cutting length for this model. The shortest supplied guard is 0.5 mm, which is the shortest length the manufacturer specifies.
