The StyleCraft Apex is a full-metal cordless clipper whose super-torque rotary motor runs at 7,200 strokes per minute and whose lithium-ion battery delivers 4 hours of cordless run-time on a 2-hour rapid charge. It ships with a Double Black Diamond DLC carbon fade blade and a slim deep cutter, and the taper lever can be set up as a click lever or a floating lever depending on how you blend. This blue edition is the same tool in a different finish.

Does it come with a charging stand?

Yes. The Apex ships with a charging stand and cord, so it can live upright on the station instead of tethered to a cable.

How long does the battery last, and how fast does it charge?

StyleCraft rates the Apex at 4 hours of cordless run-time with a 2-hour rapid charge. For most barbers that is two working days between charges.

Can I zero-gap the blade?

Yes. The Double Black Diamond DLC carbon fade blade is fully adjustable to zero gap. Set it with the included screwdriver and check the alignment before you take it to a head.

How does it compare to the StyleCraft ACE?

The Apex is the heavy tool: full metal, super-torque motor, DLC fade blade, charging stand. The ACE is the compact rotary clipper with a ceramic moving blade and USB-C charging. Pick the Apex for bulk and heavy fade work, the ACE for a lighter, quieter tool.
