The RED Pro Loc King #ALD01 is a cordless tool that automates interlocking. Hair passes through a loop on the head, and a replaceable hooked tip pulls the end of the loc back through its own base — the same motion a loctician does by hand, done mechanically. It runs up to five hours cordless and ships with three loop sizes for different loc diameters.

Questions Barbers Ask

Does it palm-roll or interlock?

Interlock. It pulls the loc end back through its own base with a hooked tip. It does not palm-roll, and you will still finish with palm-rolling and retwist product.

Will it work on Sisterlocks or Microlocs?

No. RED states it is not for Sisterlocks, Microlocs or Wicks. The loop sizes start at 0.35", which is well above those diameters.

What is the shortest hair it works on?

Two inches. Below that there is not enough length to pass through the loop and interlock.

How fast is it really?

RED claims a 50–60% reduction in labour time. Treat that as the manufacturer's figure — your mileage depends on loc size and density.

What happens when the hook dulls?

It is replaceable. The Loc Hook Replacement Kit is part #LHK01 and includes the hook, bracket and fixing screw.

Does it come with a charger?

RED does not itemise a charger or cable in its published box contents — only the device and three loops. Ask us and we will confirm against a carton before you order.
