What does a swivel thumb actually do for me?
On a fixed shear, holding the blade level through an elevated or over-directed section means lifting the elbow and cocking the wrist — and holding it there all day. A swivel thumb ring lets the blade angle change while your wrist stays neutral. How is SwivelPro different from SwivelCut?
SwivelPro is the flagship. Both have the double-pivot 360° handle and convex blades. SwivelPro adds the titanium finish and the ball-bearing pivot, and it comes with a thinner. SwivelCut comes with a razor and lists sixty dollars lower.
How is it different from the SilkCut I already use?
Same convex blade quality, different handle. SilkCut is a conventional offset handle; SwivelPro swivels. If your cutting is fine and your wrist is not, SilkCut is plenty. If your wrist is the problem, this is the upgrade.
What steel is it?
Olivia Garden publishes "reinforced steel alloy" and no grade — no 440C, no VG-10. We are not going to print a number they do not state.
Does it come with a case?
Yes — a zipper case made from recycled materials, plus the oil brush, finger ring inserts, tension tool and cleaning cloth.
