BF03-G is the gold version of JRL's standard taper replacement blade for the FreshFade 2020C. It is the non-fade profile — the blade for blending, bulk work and clipper-over-comb — built from stainless steel with an aluminum coating on both the movable and fixed halves. That coating is the reason the 2020C blade stays cool rather than heating up on the client's neck.

Is the gold blade harder or sharper than the silver?

No. JRL specifies the same stainless steel and aluminum coating across finishes. The gold is cosmetic.

Taper or fade — which do I need?

BF03 is taper, BF04 is fade. If most of your work is guards, blending and comb work, take the taper. If you live on the bald fade, take the fade blade.

Does it include both blade halves?

Yes — one stationary and one movable blade, supplied as a matched pair.
