Yes, JRL lists the APEX fade blade as zero-gap capable with an adjustment range from 0.25 to 3.0 mm, and includes the gap adjustment and reset tool.

How does the red differ from the black?

Colour only. Same 7800 RPM brushless motor, same battery, same APEX blade, same kit.

What charging does it use?

It charges on the included dock with a US plug power adapter. JRL does not publish a port type for the tool itself, so we do not list one.
