Questions Barbers Ask

How many guards come with the Boosted clipper?

Four. Gamma+ and Gamma+ UK both list a set of four magnetic guards; a number of resellers print eight, which does not match either Gamma+ source. If you need a wider guard range, plan on adding a set.

Does it charge over USB-C or micro USB?

Sources disagree. Gamma+ lists USB-C on its current Boosted page while Gamma+ UK and several US retailers list a mini or micro USB charger — the connector appears to have changed across production runs. Rather than guess, we will confirm the cable on the unit in stock if you message us before ordering. What is consistent is that it charges on a stand as well as by cable.

What is the difference between the click lever and the floating lever?

A click lever indexes into fixed detents so you can return to the same length by feel. The floating lever moves continuously, letting you sit between positions. Gamma+ gives you both in the box because barbers genuinely split on this.

Is the cutter a deep-tooth blade?

No — on the Boosted clipper it is a DLC shallow-tooth cutter running against the Black Diamond Carbon fade fixed blade. The deep slim-tooth cutter is what ships on the Boosted trimmer, which is a different tool.
