Questions Barbers Ask

Why pay more for a textured head?

Because coily hair does not behave like straight hair and you cannot learn the difference on a straight-hair head. Shrinkage is the big one — hair cut wet sits at a completely different length dry, and that ratio simply does not exist on European-type hair. Fades, guard transitions and line-ups all read differently through texture too. If you cut Black hair, a straight-hair head teaches you the wrong instincts.

What is the difference between Theo and the bearded Theo?

The beard, and nothing else on paper. Every published spec is identical — same hair, same length, same colour, same 21" head. D3072 adds a full textured beard for facial hair work.

Does it come with a clamp?

No. Fromm sells the head alone and states it fits most standard mannequin tripods and clamps. Budget for one if you do not have it.

Can I colour it?

Yes — Fromm lists heat styling, colour application, perming and braiding. It is 100% human hair. Fromm does not publish a bleach or lift claim specifically for Theo, so we are not making one.

How does it compare to the Diane Aiden head?

Aiden is the entry male head and costs less. Theo is the top of Fromm's male range — longer hair, Level 2 black, and it is the one built specifically around textured practice.
