Wet or dry application?

Wet hair gives a higher shine and a lighter, more slippery hold. Dry hair gives more grip and control with slightly less gloss. The same jar covers both.

Is it hard to wash out?

Water-soluble pomades rinse out with normal shampooing. Oil-based pomades are the ones that need repeated washing, which is why most shops stock water-based.

What styles is it best for?

Anything combed — side parts, slick backs, pompadours and classic tapers. For textured, matte styles you want a paste or a matte wax instead.
