The T-Outliner shape, cut loose from the cord.

The Andis Cordless T-Outliner Li Trimmer (model ORL) is the cordless lithium version of Andis's long-running outlining trimmer, built for lineups, edge-ups and dry finishing work. It takes the Cordless T-Outliner Li T-blade, available from Andis in carbon steel as part 04535.

  • The T-blade shape is the reason this trimmer became a shop standard: the cutting corners sit right where you need them for a hard line.
  • Cordless lithium operation removes the cord drag that makes precise linework harder than it needs to be.
  • Andis supplies a full replacement blade range for the ORL, including carbon steel, stainless steel, ceramic, deep-tooth GTX and square blades.
  • Balanced, contoured body sized for the pen grip barbers actually use on detail work.
  • Blades swap out, so a dull edge is a five-minute fix rather than a new trimmer.

Questions Barbers Ask

What runtime and charge time should I expect?

Andis no longer lists this trimmer on its own site, and we could not confirm a runtime, charge time or voltage rating against the manufacturer. Rather than repeat unverified figures, we leave them off. The manual in your box is the reference.

What replacement blades fit it?

Andis lists several for model ORL: the T-blade in carbon steel (04535) and stainless steel (04570), a ceramic blade (04590), deep-tooth GTX blades in carbon steel (04555) and stainless (04575), and a square blade (04545).

Can it be zero-gapped?

Barbers commonly set Andis T-blades close for lineup work. Andis does not publish a zero-gap specification for this model, so treat blade setting as your own adjustment.

Why Barbers Love It

The T-Outliner earned its reputation on the corner of the blade, and that has not changed. Going cordless just means your hand goes where the line goes, without a cable pulling against it.

About Andis

Andis has built professional clippers and trimmers since 1922, and the T-Outliner is one of its longest-running barbershop designs.
