How does this compare to the 2.0 kit?

The 2.0 is the same idea one step up: 7.5" shears instead of 6.5", and it adds tweezers for eight pieces. It runs about ten dollars more. If you want the longer shear, go 2.0. If 6.5" is your size, this is the one.

What steel are the shears?

Titanium-coated stainless steel. BarPro X does not publish a steel grade for their barber series — no 440C or VG-10 number — so we are not printing one.

Is it left-handed?

The kits are right-handed. BarPro X does make left-handed shears in their standalone Premium line, so if you cut left-handed buy the shear separately.

Is this a starter kit or a working kit?

Both, honestly. It is priced as a starter kit but the shears are titanium-coated stainless rather than the stamped steel that usually comes in a boxed set.

Does the razor include blades?

Straight-edge razors in kits like this normally ship without blades. Budget for a pack of shaper or half-blades depending on which razor style is in the box.
