Questions Barbers Ask
Single foil or double?
Single. A single foil follows contours more closely, which is what you want on a neckline and around an ear. A double foil covers more area per pass on a flat plane.
Does it take the FXONE interchangeable battery?
No — the Compact Series battery is built in. Some listings put "FXONE" in the title of these tools; BaBylissPRO does not and this is not on that platform.
What foil does it take when it wears out?
The FXLPRF1 replacement foil, sold separately. Foils are consumable — a shaver that starts pulling usually needs a foil, not a repair.
Does it share a charger with the other Compact tools?
Yes. The 3-in-1 stand docks the Compact clipper, trimmer and shaver, so the full red set runs off one base.
Why is the runtime shorter than the clipper?
Foil shavers spin faster — 10,000 RPM here against 6,800 on the clipper — and draw more current for it. An hour and a half is a lot of finishing passes.
