Is the red edition different from the standard FX75FS2 besides the colour?

On this one, no — and we would rather say so. The red CoreFX trimmer and clipper both swap in an upgraded graphite blade; the shaver's published spec is identical to the standard model. Buy the red because you want the red, or because you are building the matched set.

What does "offset double foil" actually mean?

The two foils sit at different heights rather than side by side at the same level. Flat on the skin you get both foils working; roll the head slightly and you are running on one foil, which follows a jaw or a neckline far better than a rigid double head.

Can I rinse it under the tap?

Yes. The housing is waterproof and rated for wet or dry use, so it cleans under running water.

What is the blade between the foils for?

Longer hair. Foils are built for stubble and skim over anything longer; the centre blade cuts that down so the foils can finish it. It means fewer passes on a beard you are taking down rather than just cleaning up.

Does it match the red trimmer and clipper?
