Can I put a flat iron on it?

No. It is rated for clippers and trimmers, not heated styling irons. Irons run far hotter than 150°F and will damage the mat.

Does it have a magnetic strip?

No. This is the flat non-slip mat. The magnetic mat is a separate product if you want tools standing upright.

How do I clean it?

Wipe it down with a damp cloth or disinfectant wipe at the end of the day. Hair and product do not soak into the surface.
