The BaBylissPRO SnapFX Gold Clipper (FX890GI) is a limited-edition all-metal cordless fade clipper built around a snap in / snap out dual lithium battery system, driven by a brushless motor at 6,800 RPM. It is for barbers with a full book who would rather swap a cartridge than plan around a charger. It ships with eight comb attachments and a dual battery charging stand.

How long does a SnapFX battery last?

BaBylissPRO does not publish a runtime figure for the FX890GI, so we do not quote one. The dual battery system is designed so a second cartridge is always charged and ready to snap in.

How does the dual battery system work?

The clipper takes a snap in / snap out lithium battery cartridge. The included dual battery charging stand holds a spare on charge, so a flat pack is a swap rather than a break.

What blade is fitted?

A Gold Titanium fade blade. The replacement part number is FX8010G.

How does it compare to the Boost+ clipper?

Both run brushless motors at 6,800 RPM with 5-detent taper control and eight comb attachments. The Boost+ uses a fixed internal battery rated at over 2 hours; the SnapFX uses removable dual battery cartridges.
