The BaBylissPRO SnapFX Clipper (FX890) is an all-metal cordless fade clipper built around a patent-pending snap-in / snap-out dual lithium battery system: you charge one cartridge on the stand while the other one is in the tool. It runs a brushless motor at 6,800 RPM behind a DLC fade blade.

• Snapping a fresh cartridge in takes seconds, which is the difference between finishing a fade and apologising to a client.
• DLC fade blade coating is harder and slicker than plain steel, so the blade runs cooler and holds its edge through heavy fading.
• Higher-torque brushless motor at 6,800 RPM keeps cutting speed steady through dense hair instead of dragging.
• Self-aligning magnetic hair pocket cover snaps off for cleaning, so hair does not build up where you cannot reach it.
• All-metal housing with a knurled barbell grip gives you a real hold when your hands are wet or oiled.

How long does one cartridge run?

BaBylissPRO does not publish a runtime figure per cartridge for the FX890, so we are not printing one. The design intent is that you rotate cartridges rather than wait on a charge.

What replacement blade does it take?

The DLC fade blade, FX8010D.

Can I use the higher capacity battery?

Yes. The FXBPC33 BOOST+ clipper cartridge is specified for the FX890 and rated at 30 percent higher capacity than the standard cartridge.
