Will the coating survive repeated washing?
Machine wash and hang to dry. Heat is what breaks down a waterproof finish, so keep it out of a hot dryer.
Do I still need neck strips?
Yes. A cape protects clothing; a neck strip protects skin and keeps the cape off the client's neck. Most state boards require them.
