Questions Barbers Ask

What is the difference between 0000 and 00000?

One step of closeness. The 00000 leaves 1/125" (0.2mm); the 0000 leaves 1/100" (0.3mm). On a bald fade that difference is visible.

Can I use it for the whole fade?

It is a finishing size. Use longer blades or guards for the body of the fade and bring the 0000 in at the bottom.

How do I keep it cutting cool?

Oil the full cutting edge before each client and spray between cuts. Close blades generate heat faster than long ones.
