Will this fit my GoldFX, RoseFX or SilverFX clipper?

Yes. All three are FX870 series machines and take the same two-hole taper blade. The FX802G is the gold-finished version of that blade.

What does the DLC coating actually do?

Diamond-like carbon is a very hard, very low-friction surface layer. In practice that means the blade holds its edge longer and slides through hair with less drag, which also means less heat on the client.

Is this a fade blade or a taper blade?

It is a taper blade. The crescent shape and elongated cutting surface are made for rocking the clipper up through a taper. If you want a dedicated close fade blade, look at the fade blade profiles instead.
