Gold housing, magnetic blade tension, and a line that stays sharp all day.

The Andis GTX-EXO II Gold Trimmer (#562168) is a cordless professional trimmer for barbers who live on outlines, necklines and design work. It runs a brushless motor at 7,200 SPM behind the GTX-Z M-Force Gold Blade, and M-Force is the part that matters — it is a magnetic tension system, not a spring.

  • Holds blade tension consistently instead of drifting as the spring fatigues, because M-Force uses magnetic tension across the GTX-Z blade.
  • Cuts a defined edge on the first pass with a brushless motor turning 7,200 SPM.
  • Arrives zero-gap ready, so you are not spending your first evening dialing the blade in.
  • Travels internationally without a converter — the trimmer runs on 100–240V at 50/60Hz.
  • Comes complete for the chair with four attachment combs, blade guard, brush, oil, charging stand and adapter in the box.

Questions Barbers Ask

How long does it run on a charge?

Andis does not publish a runtime figure for the GTX-EXO II, and retailers do not agree — some list 90 minutes, others list 120. Rather than repeat a number we cannot verify, we have left it off. If you need a firm answer, contact us and we will check the packaging on our stock.

What is M-Force?

A magnetic blade tension system. Conventional trimmers hold blade tension with a spring; M-Force uses magnetic force, which is how Andis keeps cutting pressure consistent as the tool ages.

Is it zero-gapped from the factory?

The GTX-Z M-Force Gold Blade ships zero-gap.

Does it charge over USB-C?

Andis lists a USB-C charge port on the international version of this trimmer but does not publish a port type for the US #562168, so we are not stating one. A charging stand and adapter are included either way.

Why Barbers Love It

The gold is what sells it off the shelf; the tension system is what keeps it in the hand. Barbers who have burned through trimmers that got soft after six months notice that this one keeps biting. The EXO housing keeps your sight line clear of the blade, which is the difference between guessing at a neckline and seeing it.
