A Fort Myers poor excuse of a man who used to work as a barber, was sentenced to 60 years in prison Tuesday for two counts of lewd or lascivious conduct.
Ricky Tolbert, 47, was also sentenced as a habitual felony offender and was designated as a lifetime sexual offender, according to a news release from the State Attorney's Office.
He was found guilty of the charges against him in a May trial that found that in January 2018 while working at a barber shop, he would play with children who came in with their parents. One time, he turned off the lights in a back room and committed lewd acts on a child sitting on his lap, the release says. That child told her mom the next day, who then told Fort Myers police.
In their investigation, police learned about another child Tolbert molested at the barber shop between 2016 and 2017.
During his trial, a third victim, who is now an adult, spoke about Tolbert touching her at a different barbershop in Fort Myers. Tolbert was prosecuted for abusing this victim in a separate case
