Balm or oil?

Oil for short beards and pure conditioning. Balm once the beard is long enough to need shaping as well as softening.

How do I apply it?

Warm a small amount between your palms until it goes soft, work it into the skin under the beard first, then comb through the hair to distribute and shape.
