The story
From a home chair to a Poconos mainstay
Kevin - known to everyone as Kariz - got his barber license in 2003 and started out cutting from home before opening Kariz Cutz, and he has been serving the Poconos since 2007. By its own account the shop was named the number one barbershop in the Poconos in 2012, and it has leaned into that reputation ever since. It sits on Route 611 in Tannersville near the Crossings Premium Outlets and runs appointment-first to keep the wait down. The crew has grown to six - Kevin alongside Eric 'Eazy E,' Chris 'Ceez,' Steve 'OTM,' Fab and Alex - and regulars describe Kariz himself as patient and precise, the kind of barber who takes the time to get it right.
